ZUHD Community Guidelines and Child Safety

1. Respectful and relevant participation

ZUHD is intended to support people with focus, habits, and digital self-control. Contributions must be respectful, understandable, and relevant to the shared Community. Share only information you are allowed to publish, and respect boundaries, privacy, and different experiences.

2. Prohibited content and behaviour

The following content and behaviour are not allowed in public areas, profiles, friend requests, or private conversations:

• child sexual abuse or exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, sexual exploitation, or trafficking of children;
• sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, or links to such content;
• harassment, stalking, threats, targeted intimidation, or calls for violence;
• hate, dehumanisation, or violence against people based on protected characteristics;
• encouragement of self-harm, suicide, or dangerous behaviour;
• fraud, impersonation, spam, manipulation, automated mass posting, or harmful links;
• publishing another person's personal or confidential information without permission;
• terrorist content within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2021/784; educational, journalistic, artistic, research, and counter-terrorism material, and polemical or controversial views, are not terrorist content merely for that reason—purpose, meaning, context, and potential danger are decisive;
• illegal content, instructions for serious wrongdoing, or content that infringes third-party rights;
• deliberately misleading information where it could put people at concrete risk or facilitate fraud.

2a. Profile image or GIF

A profile image or GIF may be deliberately uploaded to the ZUHD server only from age 18. A local selection in Android Photo Picker is never transferred automatically. Reaching age 18 triggers neither an automatic upload nor republication or a visibility change. Every new upload starts with “Only me”. Visibility may then be limited independently from other profile values to “Only me”, confirmed “Friends”, or “Community”. Here, Community means only signed-in adult ZUHD users who are rule-eligible, not an anonymously accessible public web profile.

Upload only your own content or content for which you have the necessary rights and permissions. Do not publish private images of other people without permission or any content prohibited by section 2. Profile media appears only on the full profile. Friend overviews continue to use the neutral avatar; Community posts and private conversations remain text-based and allow no image, GIF, or file attachments.

3. Reporting, blocking, and muting

Where Social and Community features are enabled for your account, you can report public posts, private messages, and profiles including a visible profile image or GIF directly in the app. You can also block or mute others. Blocking prevents further social contact through ZUHD; muting hides content without revealing that state to the other person.

Report content using the most appropriate reason and a short factual explanation. Do not misuse reporting for ordinary disagreement, retaliation, or repeated reports of the same content.

4. Moderation and possible action

Where the related Social, reporting, and moderation paths are publicly enabled, ZUHD reviews submitted reports and may review Community- or friend-visible content and profile media when specific concerns or technical abuse signals warrant it. Automated systems enforce technical rate limits, identify reduced spam and abuse signals, and support prioritisation; they do not decide on removal, warnings, or restrictions by themselves. Authorised people review those measures in light of context, severity, repetition, and potential harm. ZUHD does not continuously monitor or pre-screen every item of content in real time. Actions may include dismissing an unfounded report, removing content or profile media, issuing a warning, restricting posting for 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, or permanently removing Community access. A Community restriction does not automatically disable the entire ZUHD account.

Spam protection may slow down or temporarily reject contributions. Similar opinions are not removed automatically merely because they are similar. ZUHD does not edit user content.

5. Private conversations and moderation limits

Private text conversations are available only to adult accounts and only between confirmed friends. They remain limited to text and the expressly provided limited reactions; image, GIF, and other file attachments are unavailable. They are not provided to administrators as a live feed. A moderator receives private content only after a specific report: the reported message and no more than one immediately preceding and one immediately following message as limited context.

Private messages and private context preserved for a report must expire server-side no later than 30 days after creation, must no longer be delivered after that point, and must then be physically removed by the designated cleanup process. Neither users nor moderators can extend this period. Public release of the feature requires technical proof that the cleanup process runs as intended.

6. Child safety

ZUHD prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) without exception. This includes grooming, sextortion, sexual exploitation, sexualisation of minors, and child trafficking.

Accounts aged 13 to 17 may use Friends only through exact-username search or invitation; private messages, Community, full public profiles, and server-side profile media remain unavailable. The existing Hardcore/trusted-person feature continues under its own safety rules. Existing private messages, Community content, full public profile projections, or profile media is not deleted solely because of the age band, but it is supplied neither to the affected account nor to other ordinary users. Tightly limited moderation, deletion, and statutory retention access remains purpose-bound. Reaching age 18 establishes age eligibility only; it does not automatically upload or republish content.

After obtaining actual knowledge, ZUHD removes such content and takes necessary and proportionate action against the accounts or Community access involved. Information is disclosed to an authority or another body only where a specific legal duty, authority order, or other legal basis applies and jurisdiction has been checked.

7. Contact and review of an action

General Community and child-safety concerns can be sent to [email protected]. Do not include unnecessary private information. A formal review route may be named in a moderation decision only if it is technically bound to that specific decision and accessible. Where that is not the case, a general support request is not presented as an already existing formal remedy. Unless a statutory exception applies, the decision must explain the measure, including its territorial scope and duration, the material facts, the rule or legal basis applied, whether the measure arose from a notice or ZUHD's own initiative, any involvement of automated systems, and the internal, out-of-court, and judicial means of redress actually available in the individual case.

8. Changes to these guidelines

ZUHD may update these guidelines for new features, abuse patterns, or binding requirements. If the rules version changes, users must expressly accept it again in the app before making another public post. Reading remains available without current acceptance.
