Does the app work without an account?

You need an account to use the app. ZUHD uses it to manage your trial, subscription status, and progress. Screen time, focus profiles, and your app and website rules stay on your device.

Is the protection completely unbypassable?

No – and we deliberately don't promise that. Apps with their own encrypted DNS (DoH/DoT, "Private DNS"), hardcoded IP addresses, ECH, or certain QUIC connections can bypass the filter. Aggressive battery optimization on some device brands can also stop background services. ZUHD shows you the real protection status, honestly.

Can you use the app for free?

Yes. After signing in, you can try the features available for your age band for 3 days with no ads. After that, Home with Side Quests and Focus remain free, with up to 3 focus profiles and 3 active time windows. Premium unlocks the Protection, Progress, and advanced Focus features available for your age band. A paid Premium subscription also gives 1.5× regular XP rewards for to-dos, focus sessions and scheduled profiles. This bonus does not apply during the free trial and does not change attribute points. Free may include ads.

What does ZUHD Premium cost?

Premium costs €4.99 monthly, €24.99 for 6 months, or €39.99 for 12 months. The annual plan works out to €3.33 per month with a 33% discount.
